Express Warranty and Disclaimer of All Other Warranties

TailSpin products are backed by our express limited warranty. Specifically, TailSpin warrants its products to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for twelve months from the date of purchase. TailSpin will provide a comparable replacement product for any product found to be defective within twelve months of purchase. This warranty is non-transferable and may only be used by the original purchaser for non-commercial use.

Our express warranty does not apply and TailSpin is not responsible for the effects of normal wear and tear on the products we sell or for defects or product failures caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, modifications or alterations of the product, or by the misuse or failure to properly care for the product. For example, holes in waders caused by punctures from objects encountered after purchase of the waders are not covered by the warranty. In summary, the warranty only applies to manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. These will normally appear within the first few weeks of use. However, the warranty will be honored for 365 days after the date you purchased the product. Further details on how to submit a warranty claim are provided below in the “How to Make a Warranty Claim” section.

TAILSPIN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER WARRANTIES OF ITS PRODUCTS, WHETHER SUCH WARRANTIES BE EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TAILSPIN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU FURTHER AGREE BY YOUR PURCHASE OF ANY TAILSPIN PRODUCT THAT TAILSPIN CANNOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES) BY VIRTUE OF YOUR PURCHASE OF TAILSPIN PRODUCTS. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR SOLE REMEDY AGAINST TAILSPIN WILL BE THE EXPRESS PRODUCT WARRANTY OF TAILSPIN SPECIFIED ABOVE.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

At TailSpin, we want to minimize the hassles of submitting a claim under our express product warranty. You do not need to complete a warranty card or other application to trigger your warranty. However, you will need your original purchase receipt at the time you make a warranty claim, so please be sure to save that documentation.

If you discover what you believe to be a manufacturing defect in the materials or workmanship of a product you purchased from TailSpin Waterfowl, you will need to take the following steps:

  • Make sure it has been no more than a year since the date you purchased the product.
  • You will make your warranty claim by e-mailing us at info@tailspinwaterfowl.com.
  • Attach to your e-mail a copy of your original purchase receipt (preferably using a PDF file.)
  • Include in your e-mail your full name and contact information (phone number and mailing address), the name of the product, the date you purchased the product, and a description of the problem that you believe constitutes a manufacturing defect in the materials or workmanship of the product.
  • We will review your claim and may follow up with you for additional information.
  • If your claim is in proper form and the express warranty applies, we will send you a return authorization code so that you can ship the product back to us at no cost to you. We will examine the product and if the warranty-covered defect is confirmed, we will send you a comparable replacement product.
  • If you return the product within 30 days of the date you purchased the product, we will treat the return as an exchange under the Exchanges section below, but we will still need to know of any defects in the product.
  • Warranty claims are limited to replacement with the same or a comparable product, rather than refunds of your purchase price.
Product Exchanges

For a period of 30 days after the date you purchase a TailSpin Waterfowl product, you may return the product to us for exchange with another product. This exchange policy is intended to assist you if a product you ordered turns out to be different in some way from what you expected, such as a clothing product in a size that does not fit you. You must pay any difference in price if the product you wish to receive in exchange costs more than the product you are returning.

To make an exchange, we ask that you send us an e-mail at info@tailspinwaterfowl.com to let us know you are returning the product and to obtain an authorization code for the return. Include in your e-mail your full name and contact information (phone number and mailing address), the name of the product, the date you purchased the product, and the product you wish to receive in exchange for the product you are returning. It is essential that you attach to the e-mail a copy of the original sales receipt showing your purchase of the product. If you believe the product is defective, please include that information in your e-mail to us.
